Area and skill tags play a critical role in the association of professionals, businesses, articles and questions to their respective countries, regions, professions and expertise.
Tag selection initially comes into play on creation of member account profiles, articles and questions, and can be edited for profiles and articles. Edit is not available for questions.
Due care must be taken on selection of area and skill tags.
If a question is not correctly tagged it will not reach suitable professionals with the relevant expertise to timely provide answers, an article with wrong tags will not reach the desired audience, an improperly tagged professional or business will not be visible to prospective clients on search, and an incorrectly tagged guest will miss out on relevant articles and questions in the informational newsletter.
Account profile
Area tags viewed in a professional or business profile generally refer to the locations where services are being offered. When setting up your profile’s area tags you can select 1 area (set of country - regions) for each country in which you are providing services. Skill tags generally refer to the knowledge and abilities of the respective professional or business. When setting up your skill tags you can select 1 skill (set of profession - expertise) for each profession you are providing services.
Articles, Questions
Area and skill tags for articles or questions refer to the country, region, profession and expertise that the article or question relates to. When setting up an article or question area and skill tags you can select 1 area (set of country - regions) and from 1 to 3 skills (set of profession - expertise).
